This policy explains what personal information Roy Marketing collects on this website, why, who it may be shared with and how to exercise your rights. It is written in plain language and reflects Quebec's Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector, as amended by Law 25, and Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL). The French version prevails in case of discrepancy.

Who we are

Roy Marketing builds custom applications, automations, ERP and CRM solutions, AI integrations and websites for small and medium businesses. The company has offices in Sherbrooke, Montréal and Québec City and is operated by Alexandre Roy.

Information we collect

We only collect what we need to answer your request and follow up on it. The website has no customer accounts.

Contact form

The form on the home page asks for:

• your name (required)
• your email (required)
• your phone number (optional)
• the service you are interested in: custom application, automation, ERP and CRM, AI integration, website, marketing strategy or "not sure yet" (optional)
• a message about your goals (optional)
• the page language, a technical field added automatically

Booking calendar

The "Book a discovery call" button opens a calendar provided by GoHighLevel (LeadConnector). The calendar only loads when you open the booking window. It asks for details such as your name, email, phone number and preferred time, and may ask a few questions about your project.

Technical data

Browsing the website may generate technical data: IP address, browser type, pages requested, date and time, and your cookie choice.

Why we use it

• to answer your request and prepare the discovery call
• to follow up on that request by email, phone or text message
• to prepare a proposal or quote if you wish
• to operate and secure the website
• to send you marketing communications, only with your consent

Filling out the form or booking a call lets us answer you. It is not consent to receive a newsletter or advertising. Every commercial electronic message identifies Roy Marketing and includes a simple way to unsubscribe.

Consent and withdrawal

We collect your information with your consent or where the law allows it, for example to follow up on a request you send us. You may withdraw your consent at any time, subject to legal or contractual obligations. Withdrawal applies going forward. To do so, write to alex@roymarketing.ca, call 819-201-9042, use the unsubscribe link in a message, or, for cookies, reopen the settings with the "Manage cookies" button.

Service providers and transfers outside Quebec

Some providers may process information outside Quebec, including in the United States. Before such a transfer, we assess the protection offered, including by contract, as required by Law 25, and we limit what is shared to what is strictly necessary.

• GitHub Pages (GitHub, Microsoft) hosts the website. The server may log the IP address, browser and pages requested.
• Formspree receives the contact form content and forwards it to us by email.
• GoHighLevel (LeadConnector) provides the booking calendar and the sales follow-up software (CRM) where a request may be recorded for follow-up by email, phone or text message.
• Meta Platforms: the website includes a placeholder for the Meta pixel. This script only loads if you accept marketing cookies. No pixel ID is configured as of the date of this policy.

Fonts are hosted on our own website: no request is sent to Google Fonts. No analytics tool is installed.

Client projects

When we design or configure an application, automation, ERP, CRM or website for a client business, we may have access to personal information held by that business. We then act on its behalf, following its instructions and our agreement, and we do not use that information for our own purposes. The client business remains responsible for that information toward the people concerned.

Cookies

We use the browser's local storage to remember your cookie choice. That choice stays on your device for 12 months.

• Essential: always on, they remember your decision.
• Analytics: no tool is installed. If one is added, it will only load with your consent.
• Marketing: Meta pixel, blocked until you accept it.

Accept and refuse carry equal weight in the banner. You can change your choice at any time. Manage cookies

Retention

We keep information as long as needed for the purposes described, at most 3 years after the last useful contact, unless a law, a tax obligation or a dispute requires a longer period. It is then destroyed or anonymized.

Security

We take reasonable measures based on the sensitivity of the information: website and forms served over HTTPS, access limited to people who need it, protected sign-in on our tools. No method of transmission eliminates all risk.

Your rights

Subject to what the law allows, you may request access to your information, its correction, the withdrawal of your consent, the end of dissemination or de-indexing, and the portability of computerized information you provided to us. Write to alex@roymarketing.ca. We reply in writing within 30 days. We may ask you to confirm your identity.

If you are not satisfied with our answer, you may contact the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec: www.cai.gouv.qc.ca.

Confidentiality incidents

We keep a register of confidentiality incidents. If an incident presents a risk of serious injury, we notify the Commission d'accès à l'information and the people concerned, as required by law.

Minors

Our services are intended for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect information about children under 14 and we delete any such information sent to us.

Changes

We may update this policy, for example if a form, a tool or a legal requirement changes. The date at the top of the page shows the version in effect.
